BEAM Solar Engines
1381 BEAM Solar Engine
Fled BEAM Solar Engine
Description: This is the most popular SE because of it's efficiency and reliability. It uses a 1381 Voltage Detector that can be found at Digi-Key in transistor and SMT packages. |
Description: A similar version of the 1381 BEAM SE, yet instead of a 1381 Trigger it uses a more inefficient fled, but it performs the same function. |
D1 BEAM Solar Engine
PM1 BEAM Solar Engine
Description: The BEAM D1 SE is perfect in applications like pummers or other nocturnal robots that charge during the day and run during night. You need to add a fairly large capacitor (1 F or more) to store enough energy to power a motor or LED for 5-6 hours. |
Description: This BEAM SE works particularly well in walker and head applications beacuse it can drive a bicore. If it is to be used for a head, I would recomend a 4000 uf capacitor for C1, if to be used for a walker a larger 1 F or more capacitor will be required. |
